Gamal Abdel Nasser Hussein was an Egyptian revolutionary, and, along with Mohamed Naguib, one of the two principal leaders of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 that toppled the monarchy of Egypt and Sudan, ended the United Kingdom’s occupation of Egypt, and introduced wholesale agrarian reform.
